Most AI tool review sites only show USD pricing and link you to affiliate pages without mentioning that the "deal" is just the regular price. This page is different. I verify every deal on this list weekly. I show exactly what you'll pay in INR at the current rate of ₹93/USD. I distinguish genuine free tiers from time-limited trials. And I call out deals that aren't actually deals.
If a price changed since last week, I'll note it. If a "student discount" is just a marketing page with no real savings, I'll tell you. This is the honest pricing page for AI tools in India.

My rule of thumb: Use a tool monthly for at least 8 weeks. If you use it at least 4 days per week during that period, switch to annual. If usage is sporadic, stay monthly even though it costs more per month.

The ₹0 Challenge — Can You Go a Full Month Without Paying?
I ran this experiment myself in February 2026. Full month, zero AI subscriptions, only free tiers. Here's what worked and what didn't:
Worked well: Writing tasks (Claude Free handled 90% of my needs), research (Perplexity Free was sufficient), coding autocomplete (Windsurf Free is unlimited), proofreading (Grammarly Free runs forever), document analysis (NotebookLM is fully free).
Hit limits regularly: Extended coding sessions (Claude Code Free ran out by 2 PM most days), image generation (Leonardo AI's 150/day was usually enough, but I hit it on heavy content days), ChatGPT (rate limits during peak hours were frustrating).
Couldn't do at all: AI video generation (no free tier lasts more than 5 videos total), premium image quality (Midjourney has no free tier), advanced presentations beyond 10 credits (Gamma's free tier is exhaustible).
The verdict: The ₹0 stack covers about 75% of what a ₹1,860/month subscription covers. The missing 25% is felt most during heavy workdays and for video/premium image needs. For casual and moderate AI use, free tiers are genuinely sufficient. For professional daily use, one paid subscription fills the gaps.
How I Verify Deals
Every Sunday, I check each tool's official pricing page, student discount page, and any promotional landing pages. I attempt to sign up or apply for every discount I list to verify it's actually accessible. Expired deals are removed within 24 hours of expiration. I don't list deals that require you to contact sales for pricing — if the discount isn't self-service, it's not useful for individual users.
I also monitor r/ChatGPT, r/artificial, and Indian tech communities on Reddit and Twitter for user-reported pricing changes and new deals.
